Eyrún Ósk Jónsdóttir was born in 1981 in the town of Hafnarfjordur, Iceland. Before comencing on her studies in European Theatre she taught and directed drama at her local youth centre. Alongside her theatre practice and research her work as writer is also of strong interest to her.

     She has published her poem books Gift in 1998 and To my Friends in 2000. Out of her theatre plays, The Little Star was performed at SGI Iceland Culture Festival in 2000 by the children theatre group Nýstirni.
